You Can’t Navigate A Series Without A GuideEpisode guides help you understand what is going on with a television series. There are several television series which I have trouble watching because I don’t know what is going on. As a casual view, read that as, someone that only watches the show because I happen to be in front of the television at that momment, I am often confused by random episodes of some series. There are television series where the main characters change seem to change their disposition between episodes. If you watch the episodes out of order, you may find, like me, that one character’s attitude toward another character is fickle. But, if you watch every single episode back to back, you see the evolving story line and realize what is going on. This is where an episode guide comes in handy. For instance, the television series Xena had a lot of developing story lines between the main characters over the course of its six season run. If you missed a key episode in the middle of season four or at the beginning of season three, there are a lot of things that just don’t make sense. I’ve been renting television shows on DVD over the internet and this is exactly what happened to me. My service messed up and missed sending me a DVD with some critical episodes on it. As I watched the episodes on following DVDs, I was totally confused. I finally searched the internet for an episode guide and once I found the plot of the missing episodes everything made more sense to me and I knew exactly which DVD to request. The episode guide filled in the gaps and helped me find the missing information. Without it, the rest of the television series would not have made any sense to me. Leave a Reply | |
