Bunk Beds Save Space All Over The World

Throughout history, bunk beds have served many purposes! From ships to cabins, bunk beds have literally been everywhere around the world! Having served so many purposes in several countries, bunk beds are still the best way to maximize space! Let’s explore some of the places you may commonly see a bunk bed!

First of all, looking back at all the TV shows and movies I’ve seen, one of the most frequent environments for bunk beds are cabins. Many TV shows revolving around children and summer camp show bunk beds in cabins for children to sleep on. Personally, growing up, summer camps usually meant bunk beds. Why is this? It is simply the fact that they need to fit as many kids as possible into a small number of cabins!

Second, many military, army-related settings have metal bunk beds. In many movies, you typically see soldiers in boot camp or some other similar setting sleeping on bunk beds. Similar to summer camps, fitting hundreds and thousands of soldiers into small settings can only be done with bunk beds.

Lastly, prisons are often seen using bunk beds. Similar reason to all others, it just goes to show that bunk beds really do save space!
